Meet Chad
Chad has been a resident of Laguna Beach since 2020, and originally became interested in Plein Air (outdoor) painting when he was introduced to this form of art by several friends whom he was in a bible study with at Little Church by the Sea. In 2023 he began his professional art career, primarily painting landscapes and seascapes throughout Laguna Beach. Chad believes that each painting provides him a unique opportunity to interact with Jesus Christ. To Chad, each Plein Air painting is viewed as an assignment to study the essence of Christ being portrayed by the natural lighting and to then transfer his impression created in that moment onto the canvas. In his work, Chad strives to capture the essence of what he’s seeing and experiencing in that moment and is passionate about delivering an authentic and honest painting each time he paints. Chad believes he creates some of his best work when his wife and best friend Emily is by his side.
